TENTATIVE BUDGET
NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of Trustees of the Village of South Glens Falls will
meet at Village Hall, 46 Saratoga Avenue, South Glens Falls on the 5th day of April 2023 at 7:03
p.m. or as soon hereafter for the purpose of holding a Public Hearing on the Tentative Budget for
the fiscal year beginning June 1, 2023.
A copy of the Tentative Budget is available in the Clerk’s office during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to
4:00 p.m. Monday-Friday for the purpose of inspection by interested persons. The annual
compensation proposed to be paid to each member of the Board of Trustees is:

is to hear public comment on the draft of proposed Local Law No. 1 of 2023 which amends
and changes the definition of “Utility” as set forth in Village Code Section 135-2, to
include certain major changes in the type and nature of utility services which are provided
to the residents and businesses in the Village. Section 135 of the Village Code, Taxation, was

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be received at the Village of South Glens Falls Village Hall, Attention: Village Clerk, 46 Saratoga Avenue, South Glens Falls, NY 12803 until 12:00 pm local time of March 7, 2023 and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud for work that shall include but is not limited to:

Project scope shall include: GAC Media
Bids should exclude sales and compensating use taxes on materials incorporated into the work. The Contractor must insure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, creed, color, religion, sex or national origin. New York State and Federal Prevailing Wage Requirements shall apply to this project.
No bids will be received or considered after the time state above. One original and one copy of the bid forms must be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and clearly marked “Contract 1FX2023 – BID FOR SOUTH GLENS FALLS GAC MEDIA.”

The Agenda is as follows:
Motion to award the General Contractor award to Ferguson Waterworks in the amount not to exceed $ 1,112,674.23 (One Million, One Hundred Twelve Thousand, Six hundred Seventy Four dollars and 23 cents) pending the acceptance of the clarifications and acknowledgments to modifications to the bid exceptions as presented by the Village Engineers to the contractor and that the contractor agrees to hold the original bid price as presented.
Purpose:
The Village of South Glens Falls has been awarded a One Million Dollar Grant to install and replace water meters in the Village of South Glens Falls under a grant provided by Green Innovative Grant Program. This improvement is intended to improve water conservation and create a fair and equitable fee schedule for water utility consumption. NYS is anticipated to require all local governments to have water meters installed in the coming years and this grant will significantly offset the cost of this capital project.
