THE PURPOSE WILL BE TO INTERVIEW JOB APPLICANTS (EXECUTIVE
SESSION), AUTHORIZE PAYMENT OF ANY BILLS READY TO BE
AUDITED AND TO REVIEW A PARTICULAR UNAMED EMPLOYEE’S JOB
PERFORMANCE (EXECUTIVE SESSION).

The Village of South Glens Falls will hold a Special Election on March 20, 2018 for the
remaining term of the vacant Village Trustee position. The election will take place at the Village Hall, 46 Saratoga Avenue, South Glens Falls, NY and the polls will be open from noon until 9pm. (Election Law 15-104(3)(b).
The Village office is CLOSED Monday December 25, 2017, Tuesday December 26, 2017 and Monday January 1, 2018 to observe the Holidays.

CODE 121-3 TIME LIMIT FOR REMOVAL. SNOW AND ICE SHALL BE REMOVED WITHIN 48 HOURS AFTER THE END OF A SNOWFALL/ ICE STORM OF ATLEAST TWO INCHES. UNDER CIRCUMSTANCES WHERE A STORM OR ICE STORM CEASES DURING NIGHT, IT SHALL BE CONSIDEERED AS CEASING AT 7:00 A.M. THEREAFTER. IN ADDITION, SIDEWALKS IN FRONT OF COMMERCIAL ESTABLISHMENTS SHALL AT ALL TIME BE KEPT REASONABLY FREE OF SNOW AND ICE.
CODE 141-17 ALL NIGHT PARKING PROHIBITED. THE CODE STATE “THE PARKING OF VEHICLES IS HEREBY PROHIBITED WITHIN THIS VILLAGE BETWEEN 1:00 AM AND 6:00 AM” DATES TO BE INFORCED DECEMBER 1, 2017 TO MARCH 31, 2018.

SUPERINTENDENT OF PUBLIC WORKS: Village of South Glens Falls.
Must be able to perform all aspects that are required for a job in this classification. Requires 5 years of progressively responsible experience in public work actives and graduation from a high school or an equivalent combination of experience and training. The position is a competitive New York State Civil Service Class. Salary will be commensurate with experience and includes excellent benefits.
