The 39th Annual South Glens Falls Holiday Parade will take place on the Sunday before Thanksgiving, November 18, 2018.
Parade lineup begins at 9am at the corner of Feeder Dam Road and State Route 9 for larger vehicles and floats needing assembly. All participants must be in their position in the lineup by noon. The parade will step off at 1:00pm.
The parade will travel north on Route 9 from Carriage Traders to The Peppermill; there will also be a bandstand set up across from Common Roots where announcing will take place.
Attendees can expect to see bands (both high school and professional), floats created by local students and businesses, and other entertainment. There were 85 participants last year!
This year’s Grand Marshal is The Chronicle, represented by Gordon Woodworth and Mark Frost.
The Holiday Parade is not only a fun family event, but it’s also a charitable one. Attendees are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to the Moreau Community Center or a new toy to be donated to the local Marine detachment’s Toys for Girls and Boys program.
